The recently released for HAM use the Hi-Q-6/80 RT MC-3-H and the Hi-Q-6/160 RT MC-3-H Ruggedized antennas where developed for the USMC On the MOVE vehicular installations. Those antennas are now serving our militaries HF communication needs. No moving parts outside, No length changes. The contactor (RF coupler) travels within the sealed coil housing, kept out of the harsh environment. Silver plated Beryllium copper finger stock is in contact with two turns of the coil, 720 degrees, at all times. NVIS (TAD) antenna. Note: To be able to efficiently utilize the 6 meter band on any Hi-Q Antenna, one MUST utilize an antenna analyzer, find the 5/8, 3/4 or even the MULTIPLE wavelength resonant point. This is due to the fact that the total antenna height exceeds 1/4 wavelength. Some hams have found it advantageous to dedicate a small 6-meter antenna, in addition to their Hi-Q Antenna.
